Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Pics
Sitting on my hands right now... eggs due tomorrow and I..am..not..going ..to ...candle...today. whew this is hard
I just candled this morning because they were internally pipped last night so I wanted to check them this morning. One of them is externally pipped so hopefully it will hatch either today or tomorrow.

I'm hoping to get more silver chicks 😁

I'm not very mobile right now so it's not hard for me to not check them. Probably the only positive side of me having the flu 😂

Oh no! Maybe wait until day 10? I usually wait until day 10 before I toss eggs unless they're definitely bad or stinky. I have a 1500 lumen flashlight that I use for candling so I can see what's going on quite early, especially with light colored shells, but before I had it I could just barely see the development around day 6-7 with my first candler.
Otherwise, I'm sure he will figure it out very soon!
Normally I would do that if they were iffy but these are completely clear and I knew going in it might be a possibility. I got over anxious because I was finally getting a decent amount of eggs but they are coming out of a molt on top of the new young cockerels. Now I have 3 showing signs of going broody soon. Silkies can be so challenging to breed with their incessant broodiness

I opened a few laid this week but I’m not sure I think infertile too.

Hmm, the top right corner looks fertilized to me though. The other two not so much.

I always hate when I get clears! I only choose from my pink egg layers because they seem to have the best eggs. When I put my red sex link eggs in a few hatches ago, I disliked the look of the birds so I am not doing theirs anymore.

I doubt I will ever buy red sex links ever again... They are wonderful because they lay eggs every single day, but their lifespan is so short!

So I crack open 7 more eggs from this week, as I got closer to the end I started having them look like the one you pointed out. I stopped cracking once I got 2 in a row that had that big ring. I will collect for a few more days and try again. Hopefully they will keep laying and giving me 4-5 eggs a day. My satin and serama hen are broody this morning hopefully no one else joins in this week. 😝
