Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Last batch for February is in the lock down incubator. One day early, but needed the other incubator for the emus. If we can get just ONE emu. Come on! The other two eggs that were shipped were both broken.

All 23 were alive and had healthy veins. Even with dry incubation, air cells were a bit on the small side. Will up the humidity when I see an external pip and hope for the best! Power line was repaired in the middle of last night, so hopefully no power outages this week.

Still not sure what the dark egg with the B is. Maran, but the list of chicken breeds don’t include a B. The unmarked egg is from my adult chickens. This must be the replacement for the hen we lost last Sunday...

Agree with @CluckNDoodle - I bet the dark "B" ones are Blue Copper. Pretty assortment!

That's so exciting! It's almost like my eggs are hatching early!

As for the "B" egg I think it's from the Blue Marans pen. If that true it could be blue, black, or slash colored (which you probably already know). If it hatches out black it could still be from either a blue pen or black copper pen. I also got a dark "B" egg and guessed it's from "Blue" ( BBS) pen. Just marked B instead of BM.

I'd love Isbars and swedish flowers... Those are two very pretty breeds I think!

Love your mix! I’m really curious what the Silver Double Laced Barnevelders are going to look like. My favorites are the Isbars for friendliness. Our speckled Isbar named Buttersworth jumps on my shoulder and can’t get her down. Pavlovskayas are very interesting looking... This is Crispy McChicken

4 out of 5 eggs hatched. The one that didn't hatch was a quitter. Now I have 5 more due to hatch on the 11th.

If that one with the B hatches, will get to see what it ends up being. The slashes are definitely mixed colored Marans. Currently have 3 Blue Marans from the last batch in December. Their eggs were marked with BM or M.
