Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

I’m just a hobby breeder so I only hatch for myself, if I have a few extra chicks I might sell locally sometimes. Just too much drama and things go sideways fast I don’t have time to deal with all that.
I have hatched shipped eggs before just decided it’s not for me.
This is Not at all like watching popcorn pop... 😕

Didn't even know there was a review group for sellers. I just requested to join and will definitely look. I had asked others who had received eggs from her and had heard good things about her.

Just read the review and lady had a very bad hatch (4 hatched out of 12) read through the comments as there was back and forth from Ayslen and the buyer and by the end of the comments she had hand delivered another dozen eggs at no cost and buyer ended up with 6 eggs that developed out of 12 eggs and they all hatched so she was very pleased. Other than that one bad egg posting which was made in 2016. I wasn't able to find any more. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

I think it's great that she is offering a hatching guarantee where she will give you more eggs if your first batch don't hatch well. I've never seen that from egg sellers in the past. It's new territory. Her eggs are a bit expensive but if they truly are guaranteed then it might be worth it.
Because I didn’t read everything I don’t know about eggs. The OP problem is he did not receive the birds that she sent him pictures of and a few others have come forward saying she uses the same pictures but they didn’t receive the birds in the pictures either. Apparently she mis represented the quality of her flock and scamming people by selling them poor quality birds, accusation of selling the same breeding group to multiple people. Because it’s not my breed I just read a little. I just wanted to let others know they may want to investigate a little more.

I sell extra chicks, but I always sell them as straight run and barnyard mix.

Looked there and the other two review pages. She has a bad review on one of the other ones that I mentioned above. Just found this one and read through it. Lice covered birds and birds that aren't healthy, shipping birds that aren't the same birds she posts pictures of and hatching eggs that aren't the breeds/colors she is selling. Hmmm...thinking I won't be ordering those. Supposed to pay a deposit tomorrow to be added to her list.

Same here. I might give eggs away for hatching and I do bring extra birds to the local poultry swaps. Pretty much they are lawn ornaments for me and something for the kids to see when they come to the barn. But I do want them to be what I paid for lol.

I keep a log of how many eggs I put in and how many eggs I'm pulling. I also write down what was wrong with the egg when I pulled it because if it's a quitter then that happens, but I had some eggs this time from those free eggs that had mold inside of them. It was really strange and I basically told myself that this will be the last time that I get free eggs from them.

They can have all the free roosters that they want, but I don't want any eggs in return.

Whoa! Check out this link. Did your eggs look like this?! Look into aspergillus.
