Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

I said I was through.

I even cleaned, sanitized and packed away the Incubators until spring when my own eggs start arriving.

Post office called this morning.

I had a box of live eggs waiting for pickup.

HUH!!!

So now I am joining in and expect a lockdown on the 17th with hatch day around the 20th.

And another farm I had ordered from contacted me, they will be reshipping my failed eggs as every shipment for that month was made up of clears. So they will be reshipping my order. Which means I will be hatching in March as they have me down to ship third week of February.

IT IS NOT MY FAULT I fell off the wagon!!!!!!!!!

Not fair! The only thing unexpected I get in the mail are medical bills. Wish some eggs would show up! That would be a small miracle.
So where did your box from today come from? Is that the first batch of replacements you mentioned?

I love the excuse! I’ll just tell my other half the two shipments of eggs that are hatching this week, just showed up at the post office! Not sure how

It is, Silverruds Blues.

When I decided to add this breed to my program, I ordered from 3 differing breeders so I would have a nice mix of bloodlines.

Candled tonight day 8 for one set of eggs day 4 for the other. I can see 5 babies moving around out of 15 eggs one of which is my little repaired egg. Go baby go!

Just candled! It’s day 14. Can’t believe how fast it’s gone by. My little survivor from the batch of 13 that had a rough time when shipped is still alive! The air cell is definitely still wonky but I’m excited the little one is still fighting. My 4 Ameraucanas all look good. The 3 OEs are soooo hard to see in to. Idk what’s going on in there but they definitely don’t seem clear. Just dark aside from the air cell. And the 7 Marans are just as challenging. Some you can see the area that is dark where I imagine the chick is. Some are just all dark. And I have 2 that are throwing me for a loop. One looks more clear than it should but there is some darkness in one spot. Maybe it’s the yolk and it’s been clear this whole time. I sniffed it and don’t smell anything. Same with the second one. It just seems to have more clearness than it should. Ahhh what do I do before lock down? I don’t want them explode in there but if they don’t blatantly smell it’ll be hard to pull them.

Attached are some pics of my air cells. Boy, I’m bad at tracing. Horrible. Would love some input on how they look for day 14. Thanks!!!! Loving following everyone else’s journeys.

I'm not always great at judging air cell size so hopefully you'll get some more feedback from others but those are looking pretty good to me for day 14.
