Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

I bought them from a lady a few hours from me. Totally on a whim. 😂 I was wanting to add ameraucanas to my flock & the wheaten ones are beautiful. I just wasn’t really planning on brooding babies this early in the year. We still have months of winter left. 😝

We have months of winter left too. It was -6° when I woke up. Idk what the heck I’m doing hatching babies right now.

Where would I look for chicken swaps? I hear people talking about them but I've never seen them advertized or whatever. Im on a bunch of facebook chicken groups too. Maybe we just don't have them around here in MA

In VT we have them starting in April and they go until October all over the state. I would check on Facebook for Massachusetts poultry swaps or check with local poultry dealers since usually that's one of the best places to market your hatching eggs and babies.

That’s awful. 😞

I actually have walking pneumonia right now and just started a course of antibiotics last night to try to kill it. The antibiotics make me feel so nasty.

@FortCluck sending you tons of well wishes. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. ❤
I guess when I told my husband I felt like I was dying Sunday night, I wasn't wrong. I should be a doctor

They used to have them in New Hampshire when I lived there. But the only way I heard about them was from my friends, I don't know where to look.

Day 14 for these eggs. Air cells look excellent. Beautiful veining. These are the eggs that were refrigerated but so far so good. One more week!
