Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Got crafty yesterday. This will be my incubator divider. Two smaller areas are for F1 and F2 OE. The longer one is for the Icelandic and BCM, I’ll be able to tell them apart. And the little tiny slot is for my 2 eggs I added late that will have another week to go. I left the bottom open for humidity. I’ll put some non solid shelf liner down, and then this over the top.
Lockdown Saturday! I usually lockdown right at the start of day 18, but I’ll be a few hours late due to a prior commitment. I know it’ll be fine, just freaks me out a little View attachment 2019556
Wow that's awesome! It's better than what I did I just took plastic baskets and put them over the eggs, but then I freaked myself out because the basket started moving 😂 one of the chicks hatch super early and had the basket on top of its head and it was walking around 😂😂😂 I about died seeing the basket moving around

When I was 7 years old I used to think that my grandfather was crazy hatching those ostrich eggs...

When I did my first hatch with my own chicken eggs, I said out loud "So this is why you did it" and I just felt so emotional and started crying.

I still get choked up candling eggs because I remember him holding the ostrich eggs in his big hands and he would have me take the flashlight and stick it on there so I could see the ostrich.
That's wonderful!!

How cold is it where You are this morning?
It is 41 and rainy here. My father sent me this pic this morning. The trees in their neighborhood are blooming. So spring is officially starting in Virginia! Can't wait

Beautiful! I don't feel like Georgia ever really had a real winter this year, lol, I feel like I should have been gardening this entire time.

I have an aunt that lives in Georgia.

Honestly Virginia really didn't have the winter that they usually have. It's been warmer than normal and raining a lot more. It's been strange.

Most of my chickens laid throughout winter.

Same here, rain and warm. By the way, how are you feeling this morning? I keep waiting to hear that they've released you and you're on the mend.

These arrived. Sadly they had been packaged upside down 😖. Ive put them in a plastic egg box the right way up and will check the air cells later. Will be getting onto the seller if i need to. (I also found the quail part of the forum, suppose i should be posting over there oops)

I haven't been released 😂 I doubt till like Sunday.

I have a couple procedures today like an MRI and a scope down my throat to my heart to check my heart valves.

I'm not allowed to eat or drink until the scope is done so I'm hoping they do it soon
