Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Very nice. I've probably asked this before but where are you getting the eggs? What type? Are you the one getting eggs from Gypsyhen?

I'm trying actively not to buy more eggs until I know what sort of hatch I have. Hopefully all mine hatch but that would definitely mean I'm done with chicks for the year.

Currently the ones I have in the incubator will be from a Chocolate Mottled Orpington Rooster and two blue and a lavender hen. The 2 dozen coming will be BBS Orpington eggs from Brickhouse Poultry. Very excited that it's warmed up enough to have some sent up. This is one of his hens.

The ones hatching Wed should be mauve, mauve splash or brown split to lavender. They all should carry one copy of mottled to so bred back to their dad I should get mottled mauves, browns and lavenders.

would love to see a photo if you do it again. i can't wrap my mind around how to do it. just had to tape down some curly toes...these babies need a break from the doctor's office!!

Oh my goodness that's agorgeous chicken I have a buff Orpington mix that I bought from a little girl but I think it's a cockerel

I used to live in NH so I'm very familiar with NE weather

My husband would love to move further south but even though it gets cold in the winter I love the spring summer and fall up here not sure I could leave lol.

Oh my goodness that's agorgeous chicken I have a buff Orpington mix that I bought from a little girl but I think it's a cockerel

I know I've been drooling over his chickens since December waiting for it to warm up enough I could have some eggs shipped up. He's getting 100% fertility in his eggs right now in his own incubators and he ships with the foam shippers and two boxes. Fingers crossed they make it okay.

I love the orp roosters too they are so sweet. I'll take pictures of my boy when I go out to get the eggs this afternoon lol. He is gorgeous.

That's too cold for me it's been like 60 here and I consider that cold

I had lived in New England all of my life and I was 26 when my mom asked me to move with my family. I was kind of hesitant because all of my friends were in New England including my boyfriend. He told me to go because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and he ended up moving a year later.

Now I don't think I would ever want to move back The weather almost spoils you here. The coldest it has been was at night where it was 19°, but I didn't know because I was inside. We haven't had any snow this year and it's actually felt like spring the whole winter.

We actually have trees that are blooming right now

I already have two roosters so I don't think that I want to add another one. I need to take a closer look at the chicks that I got from this little girl because both of them might be Cockerels

Wow that sounds amazing. If it weren't for the fact that my whole family is in VT I would be very tempted to move lol. Unless everyone moves with me though not sure if I would be able to go.

I just checked the eggs and I have 2 external pips!!!!

I'm hoping they're Squatch babies because I sold all of his last offspring and I only have two left from it he makes such beautiful babies.
