Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

you know, it's something i have never really experienced. eBay is really straightforward in my opinion and there are so many auctions that it's probably either harder to cover that much territory or there's so much malfeasance that nobody notices LOL. generally I've been able to get eggs much cheaper from the same farms when on eBay. I don't know. Who knows where all of this will end up.

I have heard good things about eBay auctions, but I've never tried them.

I want to go to a live auction someday, but I'll be that person that accidentally raises the paddle because I had to scratch my head or something

Woke up this morning to a little chick experiencing spraddle leg...couldn’t find the vet wrap so I improvised with a couple of rainbow loom rubber bands & a small section of plastic straw. Amazed at how quickly little guy is hobbling around!

also? Who is hatching this week? I’m off until the 19th.

That's too cold for me it's been like 60 here and I consider that cold

It was -4 this morning without wind chill. I can’t complain, it’s been a very mild winter. Last year we had a week of temps -20 with -45 to -50 windchills.
Looking forward to March, once in a while we get spoiled with 50s

if you have poly vi sol with no iron you can give that and it would have any vitamins missing. about1/4 dropper full 2 to 3 times a day

Yeah, I was going to say selenium and vitamin e help with muscle control. Baby vitamins (no iron) is the way to go @Merrymouse .

Oh no poor little one! I haven't dealt with wry neck in such a young baby but I know they can get it even right after hatching. Does the nutridrench have vitemin E, selenium and B vitamins? I'd try giving her a few drops, but if it doesn't have all of those things I know poultry cell does have all those vitamins and is usually at tractor supply if you have one of those near you. I use human vitamins on my older babies who come down with wry neck since their little beaks are big enough I can use a syringe but I doubt that would work on such a young baby.

I think I've figured out how to keep track of my eggs hatching Friday. I've sorted them into two groups based on what the chicks could potentially look like. With the most similar looking chicks being put on different group. It still going to be tricky but at least then I'll be comparing them with 4 other breed rather than against 9 others.

I'm also going to make a hardware cloth divider for the incubator. I think this will be effective and uses what I've got on hand.
