I just opened the dead one and it was fully formed, egg tooth, feathers, looked a good size. So maybe they'll hatch at 28 days like pekins. They are going to be a rediculous level of cute. It was yellow with a few black stripes. I think I'm in trouble.

I'm going to put my Muscovy Pekin eggs in the incubator soon, I did check them for fertility yesterday but I didn't really see a bullseye. I'm probably going to wait until March or April to do my eggs because I want to make sure that they are fertile because I hate pulling clears

I have a chocolate Muscovy and I hope that her offspring is beautiful. I don't mind having mule ducks because I don't need them to produce offspring, I just want them for the eggs and for eye candy.

Do you know what the father's breed is?

To get a mule you have to have a mallard derived breed in a non mallard breed. Muscovy are a non mallard breed.

Basically the eggs can hatch between 28 and 35 days if it is a Pekin and muscovy mix. They say 32 because that's the Midway point between the two.

I wouldn't turn the eggs anymore and I would just leave them be. Just make sure that your humidity is okay.

These are supposed to be for meat. I've had difficulty following through on putting ducks in the freezer because they are too cute. I think muscovies are ugly so I though using him over my pekins would make it easier. But I have a feeling the ducklings are going to be extra cute.

Also, the bullseye was hard to see on my eggs. I had him in with the girls for about a week and got 8 out of 11 eggs fertile. One quit early. One just quit. 6 out of 11 left.

The poultry cell has some selenium in it.

You could also get selenium for humans and crush a pill and mix a very small amount of the crushed pill into a little of the nutridrench. You'd want to give her very very little of the selenium though as selenium is easier to overdose on than the other vitamins. I give my older babies around 25-50 mcg which is about an 1/8th - 1/4th of a 200 mcg pill. With her being so little I'd give less than that though.

What she is doing definitely sounds like it could be wry neck to me.

I always just assume it's a vitamin deficiency when they are doing that. You can get it over the counter by human vitamins in any store. Crush up a pill and mix a little in with your nutradrench. They usually get better within a day. I live in a deficient area so have dealt with it a few times.
