Too Funny

I went to go feed my 8 week old chicks yesterday and heard what sounded like a dog barking in the coop. Let them out and looked in it is one of my roosters starting to learn to crow. He is making the weirdest sound. It's kind of a cross between a crow and a dog bark. All the other chickens stay away from him like "we don't know him" lol. They are so funny as they grow up.

Mine is about 13 -14 weeks and doesn't make a sound. I'm looking forward to that crowing.
I was hearing a rooster crowing the other day, it was the folks down 1/2 mile down the street.

So far he has only crowed after 7am which is awesome. I am hoping he keeps up that pattern as he gets older.

Lol, mine sounded like an adolecent boy when he started. He did so at 6 am and this video is as developed as his crow became...(can't have roos so he became dinner). Cracked me up at how freaked out all the chickens (and ducks) were at the sound.
