since I’m using the heating pad method for incubation, I realized that the eggs were quite hot on the bottom when I was candling them. They’ve been incubating for around 4 and a half days and are all looking good. Should I not worry too much?
P.S I know it’s not good for eggs to be candled this early but this is for a science project and I have to take a photo everyday of the eggs growth

It's a good experiment but I would not put the eggs directly on the heating pad. Read somewhere where it was done .... Think about it, the hen sits on the eggs on a nest, heat coming from above, insulated with the nesting material, hence .... Make a "nest" then cover the eggs so the heating pad isn't directly on the eggs. Don't forget you need humidity ( est 35% then 70% at lock down) . Keep us updated as to your experiement, read someone even tried with a slow cooker (old style where you can dial in the temp). Good luck & best wishes

Thank you, I lined the heating pad with a couple of towels. The humidity is currently 50 and temp is 100
