I took my Sebbie eggs out to cool....the phone rang, someone wanting ducklings. I hung up and went out to do yard work, feed, empty pool and to see guy about ducklings. 2 hours later DH says, how long have these eggs been out for. Are my eggs done for after being out the bator for 2 hours.

Thank You

Somewhere, sometime this has happened to almost everyone who uses the "cool down" method while incubating geese eggs.

There are fine. I have done that with duck eggs one and was sweating until lockdown. They hatched normally. Set a kitchen timer or stop watch and put it into your pocket. That way you will remember.

So are you saying I dont have to cool down. I know nothing about hatching geese, these are my 1st, Ive not asked questions but Ive read thru posts and most said to cool. So im just trying to do what people say to do without 101 every day about my eggs. Im more or less treating them as duck egg...apart from the cooling bit and im trying not to worry oer it all.

still air incubator - cool down needed
fan forced incubator - cool down not needed

Misting is still needed on both.
