Too many boys

Thank you for your complements! I got my muscovies at a swap a few months ago. I use to have all white ones. My pekins love to play in the water. They do not spend all day in it but i only have 3 kid sandboxes set up for my 13 ducks.

I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for a duck swap meet, what a neat idea. It's funny how addictive ducks are once you get them you want more and different kinds/ colors

They are so fun! Most are just poultry in general some are poultry and small animals. At least that is in my area of the U.S I dont know about Canada.

I've never even thought to look for one before. If love to check it out! In your group do you have males and females all together and everyone gets along?

I have 11 females and 2 males together and they all get along. My two males fight sometimes because I got the pekin as an adult so my Rouen who i raised from a duckling is protective of his flock. I use to have three males( before i got the male pekin) and they all got along fine. But a predator got the other two.

Really, so there is hope for my guys I just need let's day 10 or 11 females to go with the 1 I already have. I'm sorry to hear about you losing a couple to a predator, I've been lucky enough so far that hasn't happened, I was worried about coyotes, I can hear them at night but they haven't bothered with anyone yet (touch wood)

I have a bunch/ flock of mallard pekin crosses that love the water and so don't my Cayuga Swedish blue crosses! They all submarine in the mornings!!!

I have coyotes but they never bother my birds same with bears. The only thing that kills them are preditor birds and coons.
So CUTE!

Would a raccoon kill a full grown muscovy male? I've seen turkey vultures around but no hawks from what I've seen. Now that picture is what I thought my pond would look like... Instead it's depressingly empty lol. My yard looks nice with ducks lounging under trees though :)
