Too many hens! Looking to rehome a few of my girls.

Through a brief ad in Craigs List I got a local woman who is taking may of my hens. The ad was janked after about 10 mins and I still dont know why. It doesnt matter, the suggestion worked. Thank you so much.

Hello, I just read your post...and I am looking for some lovely ladies to move into my new hen house and coop...my husband and I just built a coop and have a large plot of land...and are bird lovers...I live in Napa and would be more than willing to purchase or take a couple off your hands...I am not sure what banties are...I am new to the chicken world...well at least since I have been an adult...we had big white chickens when I was a kid...please let me know if you still are looking for loving homes...and let me know what kind, if they love attention, and anything else you can think of that I would need to know.

thanks, H

Fresno is closer than Maryland send them this way on the train.

Hi Lobzi,

I think a lot of us are chicken addicts (not in the culinary sense) that we are at or exceeded capacity to take on more. I recently took in 4 banties. We were going to wait until we know the genders, keep 2 and give 2 away. My little coop designed for 9, is housing 11. Wife and kids are already asking to keep all.

Well it is just so easy to fall in love with them. I would have never thought they had so much personality until spending time with them. Once you see that personality in them it is so hard to give them away. I had to visit the home of the woman I gave my three girls away to....I needed to see where they were going and to make sure it was a good home for them. She keeps in touch with me sometimes and I still refer to them as "my girls."
Once in your heart, alway in your heart.
