Too many male buttons

I'm not going to butcher my pets. The females have regrown their feathers, the chicks I hatched grew up, and they are doing fine

okay. that's fine then. trust me though, the last thing i want to do is have to kill one of my quail, but i will do it if necessary for their well being. I believe it's more wrong to let some of the quail suffer just because of my hesitance to butcher a quail. But it's apart of quail keeping and you need to be able to do it. as long as your quail are now doing alright, it's fine

Have you thought of keeping just the extra males in together? I don't really know anything about quail though, so maybe that wouldn't work.

Yea I've heard of people doing that. They are doing good together right now but I suppose if I need to I can put them in the extra brooder when there isn't chicks in there

I separate mine when I see overbreeding. Protect the hens. Seperate most of the males into their own space. That’s how I deal with mine.
