Too many mealworms?

My girls love feeding the baby chicks mealworms. Could they eat too many?

Sorry I don't have an answer but I have a related question for anyone who does. When I raised frogs we had to decapitate the mealworms or they would stay alive in the frog's systems and eat through their intestines. Is this a problem with chickens?

Just like giving kids candy. Will too many kill them? Not exactly, but if they fill up on treats whey won't have room for proper nutritious feed.
