Too many roosters?

Roosters really are not meant for protection. Sure, they may give their life for a bird, but then you'll either lose a hen next or have to go out and get more males

Well my goal is really good pertection if we let them out sometimes in the future, and keeping the hens in track cause we used to have some bullying and when we move next year I'm hoping to hatch some chicks
I just feel like I don't know between the maran and Americana which one to get rid of?

So get some males. But don't expect them to be very useful protecting hens

Then just keep one, or get one when you're ready t breed.
But remember when hatching you'll have ~50% males in the offspring and have to get rid of those.
