Too many too soon???how many chicks are enough??

We have a ton of space, I've actually sectioned off half the brooder for now - in total it's 4'x4' - and we've got a rather large chicken yard already fenced and ready to go. Glad he decided to do this before we built the coop - that's definitely going to change the dimensions a bit. ;)

my start out was 15 BR pullets .. i think my meal maker is a roo tho... almost positive on that .. well see ...now i wanna add Ducks! and my chicks are only 11 days old hahahaha bring it on! more the merrier. next year this time ill prolly have a full barnyard at this rate . room and ability arent a problem . my willpower against having noahs ark is...... live in the country .. must have animals! hahahaha

i'll probably try to control the number of eggs Pumpkin(a hen already acting pretty broody)sets on.But she already isnt friendly.Oh,boy.

Heh...I started with six pullets....

As of today, I have 11 pullets and a cockerel out in the run...

Four keets and 23 chicks all in the brooder.....

40 eggs in the incubator...

and 6-10 more keets to be picked up this weekend.........

And, 24 more eggs arriving ~28th of March...

Reading all of your posts is getting me so antsy. My order of 100 chicks won't arrive until the end of May (too cold here until then). Can't wait!!!
