Too much egg?

I started giving my lethargic chicks egg yolk and now they're not as lethargic. Now my dad's been giving them cooked egg every day(in tiny pieces). This is the third time he's fed them the scrambled egg and I feel like it's a bit too much but he's very stubborn so I'm wondering if it's too much for them. If so, I'll tell him to stop and give them less.

If the chicks were getting a big bowl of eggs every day, I'd be concerned, but doling out bits of egg is a harmless treat, and eggs in moderation are extremely nutritious.

Let your dad have his fun, but it wouldn't hurt to monitor the chicks feed consumption to make sure they aren't skipping out on eating what they should since their feed has nutrients not supplied by egg alone.

He feeds them a plate of it, a small plate, but s plate. I want the best for them and I had a Bearded Dragon once. He was very healthy and eating his crickets and lettuce, until my dad introduced him to superworms. My Beardie got so stubborn to the point where he wouldn't eat his crickets, nor his salad. The store he was buying the mealworms weren't as consistent with selling us them as before. We then had to force feed our Bearded Dragon but not even that could save him. He died, presumably because of starvation. I don't want our chicks being spoiled, not eating their optimal feed, and then dying.

Try this. Give your dad a choice. He can continue to feed the treats to the chicks, but only the amount you've approved, and only on designated days, say Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. Or he can be banned from feeding the chicks anything except their approved feed. If he doesn't like either of those choices, then inform him that he won't be permitted to feed the chicks anything at all.

How did it go with your dad overfeeding??
