Meyer hatchery just sent replacements for my “Rare Breed” chicks that died in shipment. I have no idea from the identifier what these are. Is it just impossible to tell so young? No feathered legs. I’m guessing #2 is an EE?

First one looks like a blue Australorp second one may very well be an Easter Egger or one of the hatchery hybrids that lay colored eggs. Third looks to be a Lakenvelder. These are my best guesses at this young age. You’ll know better when they feather out.Meyer hatchery just sent replacements for my “Rare Breed” chicks that died in shipment. I’m not sure Meyers carries those two breeds. But that would be fun if you are right!First one looks like a blue Australorp second one may very well be an Easter Egger or one of the hatchery hybrids that lay colored eggs. Agree!I'm gonna guess blue Andalusian, Easter egger, and Ancona.
All my others are brown or color egg layers so I never even thought to look at the white egg layers! I think you might have nailed it.Agree!![]()
This is my guess too!I'm gonna guess blue Andalusian, Easter egger, and Ancona.
I agree. Meyers also carries Blue Orpingtons and Exchequer Leghorns I believe so there's a few other possibilities as wellI'm gonna guess blue Andalusian, Easter egger, and Ancona.
