I was also wonder what to look for when selecting eggs to hatch. I have this hen that I would like to hatch from because she lays really big eggs…. but she lays really big eggs and I’m not sure if that makes them a good or bad choice to hatch

Candle them to make sure that they're not double-yolkers.

I have had better hatch rates with 8 eggs rather than 12 eggs under a full size hen. If she is small, just give her a few eggs.

3 days I believe. How long do you think should I wait before I put some eggs under her?

I think that should be okay. I would just keep a really close eye on her, and make sure she's eating and drinking enough throughout the day.
