Top Strains of Production Reds from Hatcheries

One thing you got to understand about a incubator is if you get a cheap one you will loose chicks. This model I told you about is equal to the Rolex model it cost about $750 a desk model its so perfect you can put lizard eggs in it and it will hatch. Dont go cheap get it and it will last you ten years and you may be able to sell it for half you bought for it. The make also great hatchers if you have thier big wooden incubaotor. Its Christmas tell you family all I want is that model. bob

I loved the Cinnamon Queens I've gotten from Cackle. High production.

Also the Black Sex links from Ideal. EGG LAYING MACHINES!

For the price, you can't beat the Genesis 1588. I've got 41 eggs in one right now!

Thank you, but the manual turning thing is a real down side for me. My family complains I spend too much time with "chicken stuff" as is, LOL. I can only imagine what they'd say if I had to turn a few hundred eggs three times a day...

It really is too big for me too. I don't know where I'd get that many fresh fertile hatching eggs, and what I'd do with all those chicks! The GQF bators are the perfect size for me.

I am talking about the genius vs the $40 cheap foam incabtors. Those are the ones the ones you buy in feed stores that can mess up your hatches. I try to stay away from a waffer type incuabotor. For get the wooden incubator I was talking about the new one that coast about $140. bob

Very nice. What is the capacity on that Leahy? A friend just obtained an old redwood incubator. I haven't seen it yet, or know what type it is, but will be interested to see if its not the same.

I have five trays and will hold about 50 eggs or more large fowl. It has room for I think 8 trays and it is a hatchery model. I just turn the eggs by hand any way. bob
