They were for me. It was rare that I got one raised to adult hood. The ones I've tried before all died on me, they seem to be kind of fragile.

Really? Well, I have their pen covered because they can't see too well but they seem to be pretty hardy, for me.

oh and i will second on the sultans -- ESPECIALLY black sultans. my friend Ashlee has been looking for quality sultans for a long time and every time she tracks some down they are SUPER CRAPPY ones. even if they have super sweet personalities, the quality of their "type" is just not great by any means.

What's a good type? My female has a pretty big beard and crest, perfectly white except when it's muddy . The only problem she has is on one toe she has two claws.

Well, if you're in Oregon I have a breeding pair of sultans and once they start laying full Sized eggs I'm going to try to hatch as many of their eggs as possible. I'm bound to have extras.

No but the guy I gave her to either sold her or gave her to someone else. I have no ideal where she is now.
