Crops are on the chicken's left side. Would you believe me if I told you that sometimes it's on their right side?

I always thought mine did it more by age group. But I've noticed that when roosting my 2 Wheatens (who are always together) now have a 3rd roosting buddy. A blond mixed breed girl. I guess now that they are all over the 1 year old mark they group by color. LOLAnd here I thought my yellow ones were just being racist.
