Topic of the Week - Deworming chickens

When you did the fecal on these cats, what worms did they have and what was the egg count before and after?

Piperazine can be used to treat large roundworms in poultry. What is the brand name of your piperazine?

I don't know about the kinds of worms or egg count.. etc. The vet just told us to keep using DE. I saw 1 kind of worm in the bedding. small rice-like worms that looked flattened and also 2 cats actually threw up long spaghetti-like worms. 1 had a very long but thin worm that sort of stood up about two inches...was quite disgusting actually.
The lady at the Masterfeed told me it was Piperazine. She spelled it out for me but I guess she had the package in hand. Not sure about brand name.

On phone now with the lady....

Piperazine 52 Brand name :Vetoquinol

I'm guessing you're in Canada?

Anyway, here are the directions for it:

If you're going to use it I suggest you get a gram scale so you can make small batches. I will figure out the per liter dose later.

yes in Canada. I just called one more supplier and they have no idea about use in ducks, geese and muscovies. I am calling Vetoquinol Canada now and see what they can tell me. :)

I just found a great eyeworm video!
