Topic of the Week - Incubating eggs

Pics
8 so far with another one pipped.
I wonder what they think about while inside the egg. At what point in the incubation do they become aware of outside stimuli

Sorry! Been busy lately with the incubator. I've been auto turning the eggs just in case, but I will take the pictures now.

Here they are:

Just candled! I saw veins on all the leghorn eggs! The bantam weggs were harder to see through, as they are green. One of them had a dark splotch inside it. Is this a blood ring or just the yolk?

4 of the original 6 eggs made it to lockdown. One was clear, and the other blood ringed. Yesterday they went on lockdown for the bantam egg. The incubator died now, too. I wrapped it in an electric blanket, keeping it the right temperature. The bantam egg should hatch tomorrow, and the leghorn eggs on Saturday. I hope at least some of them hatch! I'll post updates soon.
