Topic of the Week - What do you do with all those eggs?

Pics
We eat them, sell them, hatch some, donate some to the local food pantry, (have also donated to local Girl Scouts), have frozen some, and feed some to my dog and back to the chickens! I also take 6 hard boiled eggs a week to a gentleman at the assisted living facility that my Mom lives at. He likes hard boiled eggs, but the facility doesn't always have them available. Oh, and I give some to family and some friends.

We eat them. Supply family for free. DH sells at work. We have several regular customers at the Mennonite community a few miles north of us we deliver to. I pickle our bantam eggs. The dogs get at least one each a day fresh or hard boiled. Sometimes the chickens get hard boiled egg treats too!
If there are ever extras...
Old Fashioned Pound Cakes!
Strata!

We eat many of them, although I think my children are beginning to tire of scrambled egg sandwiches.

I give a lot away to families I know could use some help with groceries and I give them to my neighbors, so they don't report me to the city for having a few more chickens than is allowed.

I give mine away. As I tell people, strangers may have to pay, but my friends get them free. And I don't know any strangers.
Of course, if you know them they're no longer strangers. LOL

Chicken math has hit me in a rather unusual way. Originally my plan was to have 6-7 hens, But once my tenants tasted them they went egg crazy, going through as much as two dozen a week. One was eating up to four a day, so I upped the number to ten. Well last January she passed in her sleep so now I'm having an overload of eggs. I've given a dozen to friends now and then, but we can't keep up so I'm thinking of putting up a small "eggs for sale" sign. Naturally with my luck they will be so popular that I will have to get more hens.

...and the band plays on...

Whatever my dogs and I don't use are given away to firends and family. ANd if there are still some left over I sell them at work. Work ends June 30 so I'm either going to do the honor syster out front of my house or take a drive to the "old" workplace and sell them to the customers I had at work. I'll email them ahead of time to let them know I'm coming.

I am currently completely overrun with eggs. We cannot eat anymore. Most get cracked a splatted and fed back to the birds immediately, chicken, ducks and turkeys all fight over them, some get scrambled and fed back to the birds. People now run from me and my eggs. I must be the only person who wishes their hens didn't lay so much.

there is this guy on youtube I think the channel name is 50 ducks in a hot tub or something like that... anyways he decided to not hatch ducks out this year so he has been donating all of the eggs to the local food bank

We share with the neighbor who shares our chicken run fence line (quite graciously) and trade with a neighbor in exchange for bread and leaf crops from her garden (since my garden gets a lot of chicken manure and I'm a little hesitate to grow leafy greens). We are getting 5-6 eggs/day from 6 chickens and we probably eat half of them. Anything cracked or very poopy gets boiled up for the dogs or fed back to the chickens.

We can't give away our eggs so we say we sell them then we only take about half the money or less than they want to pay also we eat them and feed them to our dog and feed the chicks scramble eggs for extra protein
