Its dark here now, so I think I'm going to try to do a little clean-up while they roost. I've heard Neosporin is bad for chickens. What other antiseptic could I use?

Neosporin works fine. Never seen any ill-effects from using it. I keep seeing that it's bad recently, and I don't know where it came from. I did a search earlier—no scientific papers, no reliable sources I can see anywhere... I think it's one of those chicken myths that keeps popping up out of the woodwork.

I think it might have come from the posts that say you shouldn't use triple antibiotic with painkiller. Fair enough. I can't find any sources for or against the painkillers in 3-antibiotic when used on chickens. But Neosporin alone should be fine.

Never seen that. It looks more like a lotion. I'd be more interested in Blu-Kote (for smaller wounds not near the eyes) or Red-Kote (for larger wounds).

I'll check that link out! The injury looks like its on her comb directly above her eye, so I'm sensitive about what to do that won't irritate her eye as well. I just had a chicken randomly die three days ago (no blood/no sign of disease), so I'm already a little on edge!

They're all currently roosting in the dark. I'll check right away in the morning if they are bullying her. She is my flock leader, so I'm curious how that dynamic will work out...

Neosporin is ok to use as long as it doesn't have a pain reliever in it.
But, the green goo you linked would be ok too. If you have neosporin on hand dont hesitate to use it.
You could make a saline solution or even diluted peroxide. It won't hurt to rinse it once with any of those solutions. I would suggest getting some vetricyn spray.

I use blue wound spray too....but I have also used Neosporin...or peroxide...any of them will work

I put Neosporin (no pain relief) all along her comb, but she was sort of shaking it off & it was melting a bit because of the heat. I suppose I'll leave her be and check her as soon as she comes out in the morning.

That face though.
I don't think chickens like stuff on their comb. Mine shook off bag balm when I put some on their comb. Blue kote would help to hide it so that others don't peck at it, plus is an antiseptic.
