Neosporin works fine. Never seen any ill-effects from using it. I keep seeing that it's bad recently, and I don't know where it came from. I did a search earlier—no scientific papers, no reliable sources I can see anywhere... I think it's one of those chicken myths that keeps popping up out of the woodwork. Its dark here now, so I think I'm going to try to do a little clean-up while they roost. I've heard Neosporin is bad for chickens. What other antiseptic could I use?
I think it might have come from the posts that say you shouldn't use triple antibiotic with painkiller. Fair enough. I can't find any sources for or against the painkillers in 3-antibiotic when used on chickens. But Neosporin alone should be fine.
