Chirping
Hello,
I recently posted about one of my hens getting her earlobe torn by my rooster who is clumsy and rough when mating since they're only a few months old.
A few days ago as she was healing, her earlobe got re-torn, and is now in 3 pieces, with a flap of flesh hanging off her head. I've been putting vetericyn and neosporin daily, but I don't see any way for that piece of flesh to be re-attached without a surgical procedure... but I'm still unsure on what to do..
Should I leave her be and see if it re-attaches itself, or if that piece falls off and new skin forms over the wound? Or should I cut that piece off myself and hope for the best? Or should I just take her to a vet to see if they can surgically reattach her earlobe/flesh?
2 of the pictures shows me lifting the flap of flesh up- it doesn't look like just her earlobe at this point, it looks like an actual part of her little head..
Any more advice at this point?
