Thanks for all your good advice and kind words. Unfortunately it's pretty late in the 21st day and not a pip or a sound. At what point should I resign to the fact that something is very wrong? the humidity is up and I've left them alone since the candling. I wish just ONE was showing signs of life. So sad.
Don't give up. Did you set the eggs & count the first 24 hours as day one? if so then you are off by a day. Give them time, if the temp or Hum was off a little, that can delay hatching. I've seen eggs hatch at day 25 before. My friend raises marans and have had them hatch almost 5 days late. Serama'a hatch at day 19, so don't throw in the towel yet.
i agree with the others. Day 21 is not the day to get discouraged. If nothing happens by day 22-23, you may want to take them out, one at a time, tap the large end of the egg with your finger nail and chirp. Generally, if someone is inside alive, you will hear a chirp back.
make you feel better, day 21 for the eggs under my broody was monday... it's wednesday and we have cheeping and pipping.. it was a little cooler out there the last 3 weeks... if your thermometer is off by a few degrees day variances are normal... i was testrunning the schools incubator for their class project.. they've never had a parent who knew what was going on, all those chicks hatched on day 19.. tells me the thermometer in there is proply off and instead of 99 it was probly 101... i found out they would be early wehn on day 18 i went to put them on lockdown and found 3 pips.. lol... still in the turner moving.. so...
good luck!

I just had some buff orp eggs go to day 24! They had taken 8 days in shipping and I am attributing the late hatch to that, as my sportsman held 99.5 steady as a rock.
