Total devastation

Wow. That's really hard. Our dogs went through a flock of 30 meaties and stacked them like cord wood.

Our 13-yo forgot to latch the gate. Grrrrr. He wiped out his savings paying for them.

Today, our layers live behind electric poultry netting. We got the kind that's easy to move around. And it's got a solar charger - so we don't have to run extension cords everywhere. It works great! Something to think about anyway.

That was a dog(s) that did that. Fox take them away or bury them. I had two dogs come devestate 14 of my flock. Didn't eat one, just left them for dead.

Fox come from time to time, coyotes too. All I ever see are a few feathers.

So sorry for your loss, it is so maddening what dogs can do.
A dog got one of my chickens last year but it was my fault really as she had got out the garden, the owner of the dog was devastated as she has hens herself and gave me one back in return.
