I've read that Polish often get picked on by other chicken breeds because they look different. Did you have yours in with other Polish, or with other breeds?

the first time I encountered cannibalism was with my first flock ...i was 12 at the time...but i will never forget seeing my beautiful giant light brahma hen with a giant hole in her back and her intestines spilling out will the others peacked her .....

Its to late in the summer already im about to head back to college if not i would oder more white crested black polish..i really liked them...unfortunatly i only received one in my assortment but shes now gone...

Sometimes we love our birds so much that we forget that there still animals... This is my Second HArdest death ...the first was when i woke up one morning to see my entire flock of D Uccle Hens 20+.....laying dead on the floor cause a pit bull had got into my backyard and completly wipped out my flock...

We're animals too and act reprehensibly at times. I hate all of it!

It is confounding and heartbreaking - all the misery on this earth - I want to grill whatever force set up a system that torments so many innocents. Maybe there will be a sensible reason but I'm going to need one h-e-double-l of a lot of convincing.

Again, so sorry. That poor sweetie. We can only hope she went into some kind of protective shock before too long, thus sparing her to a degree.
