Ok so a good friend of mine gave me two fertile eggs on Monday and I got an incubator of Ebay has any one ever tried the CHICKBATOR INCUBATOR 9100 ALL HATCHING EGGS incubator Do they work any suggestion on how to make sure it works

Plug her in and see how it holds temp. Make small adjustments to fine tune it then put the eggs in. Wait to put eggs in to ensure your temp is right. If you get a temp spike, internal of eggs reach 105 F, they'll die.

Good Luck, hopefully both hatch. If not get a week old companion from local farm supply store for companion. Chickens are very social and need company.

oh ...Its one of those bators for classrooms then and not a LG which holds 50 eggs without the turner. I have never used one so could not advise. Good luck on your hatch.

I say, get the temp. stabilized and put them in! I got an LG still air for my dad for his birthday. All we had was 3 eggs and havn't gotten any since, so we're just seeing how it goes. Keep in mind that you might not have any hatch the first time, but there's no harm in trying. Follow the directions for the incubator if it came with any.

Ah, OK, I've seen pics of those. I think I'd try to beef up the external insulation a bit by placing it inside a box, or an insulated cooler with ventilation. You might try to calibrate the temp reading too. I don't know how accurate the thermostat is on those things. Someone on here made a video about calibrating thermometers. I'll see if I can find it and post back with the link.
