Tough lessons learned

Well, there were more than one. I suspected there was another one and set the trap last night and by midnight we caught it. My housemate was going to drown this one in one of our garbage cans, but when he lifted the cage, the raccoon bolted for one end and ended up escaping.

So, I guess we'll try to catch him again tonight and thereafter until he's caught.
 
Sorry you lost your hens...I have yet to lose one and hope I do not but if I do and I catch the critter....it dies immediately.

I have killed fox and a coon just for looking in the direction of the coop.
