Toulbunt orpington??

Quote:
That doesn't make Tolbunt. Tolbunt is Gold Laced with mottling. Jubilee is just the same as Mille Fleur, but with mahogany.

to import birds you have a mandatory quarantine period, cost $590 PER CHICKEN. that does not include cost of birds, to have the sellers flock vet tested, etc, etc etc....

sorry i thought tolbunt was just like jubilee, with more white. that makes it harder than. I have a goldlaced orp cock for sale, aswell as a pair of jubilee - but im in Ireland!!!

Nope, tolbunts are gold laced with the mottling gene. You would have to breed an Orpington with the mottling gene( Jubilee ideally) to gold laced Orpingtons. You "could" go the long way and use other laced and mottled breeds and breed towards Orpingtons but in the end you would have raised MANY birds and used up a LOT of money. If anyone wishes to start a tolbunt Orpington project, they would do well to contact Paul Bradshaw.

Because he runs a well known poultry business that offers Jubilee Orpingtons. It is very expensive though. Honestly Hinkjc right here on BYC also does Jubilee Orpingtons, and they're not imported with a heavy tag.

Raising Tolbunts myself. Very hard breed to deal with. 3 hens with a beatuful Roo. Also have 2 roos that look like barred rocks. 7 chicks. I have tried to hatch more than 100 eggs just to get these.
