Toulouse Geese Thread

Hey Miss Lydia.

I have really enjoyed watching Chicory & Beignet (my toulouse pair) hatch/raise their own babies these past few weeks. I got a couple pics of the littlest ones today that I thought you'd like. They are growing up so fast!

And here's a pic of my littlest buff girl "Summer" who is already 6 weeks old!

Hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying their precious babies!
I love the pics J, so precious and that Buff girl oh my gosh how adorable and BIG. I know your in love.

Thanks! I love watching the little 4-pack run around the yard at full zoom.

And I love both of my buff goslings. Summer is already much bigger than her pair of scovy buddies (who are still attached to her like glue), but she looks small compared to her 9 week old sister "Sunshine" and TEENY compared to my yearling Nutmeg (who I will pair up with either Summer or Sunshine).

Th only way to sex I know of is to vent sex, but I'm not sure how well that will work with full grown geese. If I were you I would just wait to see who lays in the spring =)

Super cute pair, Frances. Occasionally I can tell my dewlaps' genders by personality, carriage and type of vocals, but it is not like sexing Africans, who are fairly easy to sex by looks/sound/personality as juveniles. DNA test is the best way to sex juveniles.

Week 7 of Molly's babies:
We were on vacation for a week or so. Didn't really go anywhere, but napped a lot. The kids are as tall as Mom now, and showing some good mullets. The largest one is the most Toulouse-like, and the others are a mix. I did get a snap of Dad close to the kids:
They were all hitting the tall grass this morning. Molly would be the tallest one in the back on the right; 2nd from left.

Molly is getting more comfortable with me being around here and her babes lately. I got to pick one up and inspect him/her when it got stuck in a feed sack. I fished it out and held it for a few minutes. Molly didn't even hiss after the first minute. That's as close as I've gotten to them since they hatched.
