Is there much a nutritional difference between whole corn and cracked corn?
I supplement all my birds with born in the winter, but alot of my seramas are too small to eat whole corn so I have only bought cracked so far this year.

There is some controversy over whether whole corn is better than cracked. My geese seem to prefer whole.

Do geese molt/shed toenails?

I noticed a few days ago that Pom's outside toenails on both feet are gone! I looked at them really close and it doesn't look like they broke or ripped off - no trauma signs of any kind that I can see, and they don't seem to be bothering him. The fleshy part inside the nail is hardening like he is growing a new nail. I just wondered if this is normal or if he HAD to have ripped them off. Just seems weird, I had a chicken rip a toenail once and there was LOTS of blood where he got caught.

He must have done it before you got him, Missy just recently ripped her outer toenail off and she bleed quite a bit even walked with a limp for a few days.
