Toulouse Geese Thread

Sure I'll try to help.
I am seeing your love for Missy!

It's a beautiful thing.

As I have stated, I am in the market for babies, in the 2014 Hatch a long thread.

I missed out on a pair of African that I really bonded with. And now have a chance at toulouse. And possibly some toulouse/embden fertile eggs for the incubator.

I have a Chinese and African pair that are a bunch of meanies. And I am looking for a pair of geese that are more gentle and child friendly.

Do you think that the toulouse might be a good match?

Yes I do, Missy is a sweet heart although I got her at 4 months and she had been on pasture and hadn't had much socialization she has come a long way. Getting them young is the key. I'm hoping if we get some goslings from my pair that the Toulouse personality will be more prevalant. although My Embden is pretty laid back till mating season. He was hatched here.

Thank you!
Now I am super excited! Babies should be here on Thursday. So, I'm going to build a brooding box and have it all ready!

That's awesome look forward to pics, How old will they be? did you see the pic of the brooder one member made?

I have yet to see the brooder.
However the babies will be between 6 and 10 days old. Or at least that's what the Africans were, when they arrived at market.

Thank you for the info. OK now the oldest egss, are they any good? My friend would incubate them if they are but I do not have the means, mine is full of chicken eggs. The oldest are probably a month old.

Well we are up to 21 now. Wondering weather she will ever quit!! Seeing as they are just our guard geese it doesn't matter much if she sets but it would be cute to see the babies running around!
