I bought a pair of Toulouse geese last weekend, they were bought with a pair of Brown Chinese Geese. Was told both sets were laying or I wouldn't have bought them. I re homed the Brown Chinese as they weren't working for me as I wanted to focus on the Toulouse, well during this time I got two whole eggs but I wasn't sure which goose they came from as it was a five day stretch figured maybe one from each. Well since the Chinese have been re homed no more eggs. Do you think she is holding back or do you think she was never laying? I was told the gander is 5 and she is 4, which I thought was a good mature age for a goose given I want fertile eggs.

Then I'm wondering I hope I don't have two ganders.. LOL but here is a picture of them. I was thinking the one on the left is the female and the one on the far right with his head out of the picture is the gander.. or vice versa??

It may take a little while for your goose to lay as it is stressful to be rehomed. I know with chickens that they will often molt and stop laying when you move them. Hopefully she settles in and starts laying. Maybe someone with more experience with geese can chime in.

The one on the left looks female with the belly closer to the ground but I do not see a big hanging dewlap hanging under her chin... Have you asked advice about vent sexing or can you do that? Not too hard but easier with 2 people.

The move may have stopped her laying for a bit. Maybe you just came across a few of her eggs. She, if still laying should go back to the nest any lay a few more if she is comfortable..She will pile some up before setting. I hope it goes well. Looks like a male and a female...
