What was different when the other person filled the pool? Is there something else in the area that is new?So...my ducks have decided they don't want to use their pool anymore! Someone who lived with me had to fill the kiddie pool when I was gone....and they have never gone in the pool since. Even treats won't work! I know this is not a main post just a small question to ask some of you guys!
Nothing!!!! There is nothing that the ducks would be afraid of. I mean I guess they just don't trust whoever filled the pool and are just going to be stubborn.....although they really need to swim and get themselves cleaned up!What was different when the other person filled the pool? No clue then. Recently, I added a tarp to their run for extra shade. They avoided the pool, their feed, and another set of watering containers. I had to take it down. Have they seen you refill the pool?Nothing!!!! There is nothing that the ducks would be afraid of. Actually after being on BYC I headed down to the duck pen to get some mold off the ground in my run(problem solved). I got carried away..so I sat on the ramp for my ducks and just waved my hand in the cold water so they could see there is water in there and that it is safe for them to go to. In more then 5 min they were splashing around in the water! I really think it was a trust issue and I just had to show them that it is more fun in the water then outside the water. Thanks everyone and sorry for taking over thread! I am sure they are swimming right now!No clue then. Recently, I added a tarp to their run for extra shade.
