Putia was surprised at how dark it had gotten.

Marco sniffed the air. He could smell dogs from Meringue's pack. He plodded though the snow, trying to keep the scent. If they were truly dogs from Meringue pack, it would take some work to get them to help.

Putia sniffed the air, she could also smell the dogs. She glanced at Marco.

Marco barked sharply. A few minutes later, the sound of paws running on snow could be heard.
