Tractor Supply federal tracking!?

i hear ya txredneckmedic. the store i go to is great too. the vet health person has worked with animals all her life and is currently attending a&m getting her veteranarian degree (shes no youngster shes in her 30's). she makes sure any animal coming through there is healthy. i asked her about all this and she saiod if they enact this law though they too will have to do what some of the tsc stores are doing. what part of texas are you in

Im in the lil town of Pecos Tx. Were bout a hour or so from Odessa/Midland. I gotta say I love small stores. Went in there a couple days ago and told the poultry lady I wanted to order some chicks. Well she picked up the phone, Called Ideal poultry and got me some sex linked black pullets for less than $3 each and they will be here may 20. Gotta love that kind of service.

Ever hear of "Codex Alimeterius"? I think this is what is happening with the tracking issue.

This is a standard being enforced by the World Trade Organization. Basically, they have been working very hard for almost 60 years, to implement control of our food supply. Any nation that is a member of the WTO is required by their laws to follow these standards. So, this means that the tracking of animals is one way for them to control our food supply. Another thing that the majority of the population doesn't know, is that 30 years ago, they set a date of Dec 31st, 2009, that every animal that we eat will be required by law to be innoculated with growth hormones and antibiodics. This is simply another nail in the coffin, literally. This is the main reason I'm raisning my own chickens, and growing my own food.

They will use fear to otherwise bring about their agenda. I personally would not give anyone information about your chicks, it's your business, and no one elses.

Look up codex alimeterius in Google and Youtube. You'll find some eye opening information.

Thank God for Mom & Pop stores! I wish more people would realize what the big box stores are doing to the family owned and operated stores and support them. There's more to it than shopping by price. Let's go where our dollars are appreciated and make a difference. I shop on principle and that means to Tractor Supply or Wal-Mart for me. Our local Purina feed dealer has been so helpful to us. I encourage you Big C, there are others out there like you.

We got our chicks from TSC in Martinsburg ,WV. I had to also fill out "paperwork" and buy a minimum of six, but didn't matter what or which six I bought. The guys uop there were pretty good about info or so I think!
I can't really find any mom and poops around here so if someone knows share some knowledge.

That whole idea is bull crap. I dont want to have to register a chicken i bought for $1.75 at TSC and then have to call in when i kill the darn thing. It sounds ridiculous to me

If you go to mother earth news they have a very interesting article about the animal identification program. Its actually a fairly harmful bill they want to pass that mostly will affect the homesteader and backyard gardener/farmer. I have paid cash for everything for the chicks so far, and no paperwork.

My aunt is one of the managers at our local TSC. I had just assumed that our TSC wasnt doing this, as I never seen any signs posting about this nor had she mentioned it to me. She came over the other day and we got to talking and I told her about BYC and the other TSCs. She told me that our store is also doing this and that it came down from the 'big guys' that Tx mandates that ALL poultry MUST be tracked. She told me there was an email that was sent out stating the change that would come and that all chicks/ducks were to be 'tracked'. I told her there was no such law in Tx(as of right now) that states ALL poultry must be tracked. Im not sure where the head TSC idiots got this from.

It is also a part of the "Go Green Global Warming" B.S. They are going to tax every farm animal I saw a proposal list it was like ten dollars per chicken and one fifty per pig two hundred per cow ECT. it is just a way for them to take as much of our cash as they can. Global Warming is a myth.
