Tractor Supply, Gimpy Duckling, Suggestions please

Wow, that's interesting... Well, I couldn't find any small dosage Niacin at TSC or the local feed store so I went to Walmart and all they had was 500mg... They aren't the tablets, they are capsules. Anyone have a clue how to mix it properly? And can all the chicks drink the mixture or should only Nemo drink it?

So far she's doing okay. She's a lot ore active since I brought her home, so I think the electrolytes and probiotics are helping too. Today I heard her distress calls and went over to find her on her back kicking her legs but couldn't get back up.

Open the capsule and divide into 4ths as best you can. If you have only the 1 duckling and she has been with the chicks then just put it into their water. I think it would be too stressful to remove her to treat. I use Brewers yeast which has B3 in it and all my flock gets it including the chickens. if you can make her a donut out of a towel then you can place her into it butt first so she has some support till she gets some strength. Make sure she can still get to feed and water.

I took a plastic tub outside and let the little ducklings swim around in the sun. They like swimming in it much more than the sink. :)

It's a FB link. Nemo is the smallest one (pretty obvious which one that is).

That is adorable, you have to make sure they don't chill even in the sunshine since they aren't water proof at this age. They all look great though.

Being crested makes them even more susceptible to neurological issues and leg issues so keep ing them all on niacin till at least 10 weeks is very important.
