Yeah!

The only reason I'm getting it is for my sister, she really likes the design and wants to get a couple bantams/hatch a few eggs.

Although, is there any better Pre-fab coops out there?
Hi there! I have had a prefab coop, from TSC, and it is very cheaply made. My husband and I have had to make several repairs before deciding to build our dream coop. I completely understand the need/desire for a prefab but prepare yourself to make any changes/adjustments for the safety of your flock.
Best wishes to you and good luck!! :frow

I found a local coop builder on craigslist and that worked out really well. There are usually some nice second hand coops on CL as well. It's worth checking out if you do not want to build your own.

If you really want a pre-fab coop though you can find some quality looking (no personal experience) ones if are willing to spend more:

My sister and I saw it today, and we where thinking About buying it.

Or is it a waist of $500?
And if it is good, how many chickens would be able to fit in there?(bantams)

I have built a lot of stuff and when you start building and buying hinges and all the stuff to build your own it adds up fast. This coop would last a few years and it has most of what you need.Im not sure if that is a pressure treated piece of wood at the ground.I would buy pressure treated ( not borate treated)ground contact lumber for the base. It will pay off. two other things.for me its to open. Sun and bad weather will be hard on hens.a simple plywood shield or something like that would be helpful. last paint it a lot. Have fun!

Those are.....super expensive.
And no exactly what I'm looking for.

Thank you!
I will think about it, but I might end up getting a shed that will be actually good and long lasting.

If you do get the coop from tsc, my advice is to waterproof it with thompsons water seal (paint first if you want a different color), add extra hw cloth - especially the bottom for an apron. Put it up on landscaping pavers so that it is not sitting directly on the ground (plus even a better reason to use hw cloth for an apron). Maybe reinforce the existing hw cloth.
I have had a prefab since Oct it is holding up ok. Some of the screws they use are tiny - so we had to reinforce with better screws. The ramp came off due to the tiny screws.
Also, look up @Kuntry Klucker she has a whole village of prefabs. :)

I saw this one at TSC a month or so ago.

It's about the same size as in the OP and less expensive.
I was pretty impressed with it, being a longtime and ardent criticizer of all prefab coops, that's saying a lot.
The biggest plus is the metal roof with decent overhangs.
It also has taller space inside and some ventilation.
