I might have to set some of the welsh harlequin duck eggs, they are laying like crazy and it seems a waste to let them just go to the fridge.I just hatched abunch of olive eggers, they shoulould be sex-linked looks like I have 8 cockerals and one pullet. Oh dear...:/

Has anyone tried quail eggs from their local Asian store? I'm thinking of trying some once my incubator fan gets fixed.

I haven't. Is there any way to tell if they're fertile? Are they marked? Or can you look for the bullseye, like on duck eggs?

I would guess they are fertile. I Have never tried though. My Coturnix hens layed better when there were roos in the pen.

Well it's day 21. Not even a wiggle in my last two eggs that were the only ones out of 3 dozen to develop. I'm calling it a total fail. I will try again once I get a fan.
