Today I candled one of my TJ eggs I gave my broodie "emerald " and there was a little chick bouncing around inside the egg!

That's always fun to see! I'm so used to candling colored or speckled eggs these white eggs seem transparent. So easy to look inside.

My Julian date was 156... Finally found the carton! Which is June 4th. We set the eggs under mama on June 13th. So eggs were 9 days old. I candled 3 today and all fertile. Trying not to be as obsessed as I normally am with eggs and let mama do her thing.

Well, 2 of 5 under my broody had definite development. The other three appear to be clears. I'll check again in a few days and remove the clears.

I have 2 broody hens. under one I put my own: 2 grey eggers, 1 EE and 3 brown probably cochin eggs. under the other one whole carton of rock Island fertile eggs.
