Traditional Serama

Thanks! Yes, they are both Class A, approx 10oz. Napoleon is paired with Fawn from Pixiechick - they throw the most unique babies since they both carry the frizzled and silkied gene. They are one stop shopping

I like them all and its been rough. I want to work on my whites, and frizzles but I have several other colors and types too. Why cant we do it all? I have had a few nasty emails telling me to have fun in my new club. What club is that? We all have seramas and I want to have fun and show them weather white or buff.
I know, it's been very "stressing" for the past 6 months. I've been so torn over which direction to go but I am so glad to finally know!

Seems like you and I had the same day. I had a someone unfriend me on Facebook and unlike my page there simply because I posted a link to this thread and said I truly felt this is the way I want to go with my birds. I was "corrected" in my thinking before she did it though...or so she thought. Only one other person agreed with her. The majority of people feel we should be able to do whatever we want. I don't even want to tell you how many emails and messages I got telling me how wrong I was and why and giving me endless background information (drama) on "the new club"....I just don't get it

Its sad but I guess we deal with it. I think there will be loads of changes for a while. Someone told me to do what I love and I am but to get attacked for it sucks! Take care and hang in there!

This is Gino, son of Napoleon and Fawn. He is still young - 4 mos old - and looking better everyday! (he doesn't like to pose much yet) He weighs 9 oz and is fertile!!!

Seriously???
Wow.
I guess in some parts of the country, ABA is all people have, so naturally they gravitate to that standard. But before ABA, all there that existed was the SCNA standard, which hasn't changed, except to drop the lower weight limit recently. Why is that standard suddenly sub-standard? I like that standard. It brought out the best in Serama.

I agree that traditional is the way to go, too many special birds get the boot because they don't meet someone else's standard. I don't agree with what is going on and I hope it gets fixed before too many people are turned away for good.
Here is a pic of my silkied cockerel from Laura's eggs. He is older now I have to take some new pics soon.
