Tragedy related to nutrition?

I emailed customer service at Purina asking about the by-products and grain. They should answer me in a day or two. Or I will call them if they don't. I asked them what exactly is in the grain by products and grains. I'll post the reply when I get it. You all got me curious now as to what they put in. All the other feeds, including horse feed have listed corn and soy separately from the grain stuff. If Purina is hiding that fact behind "by products" I want to know.

Does anyone have a label for Kent Home Fresh? I fed that for a while and was very happy with it. My local feed store only carries Purina so that's what I've been buying lately. I think for winter I will be making the drive to get the Kent brand feed. If I remember correctly it has fish meal in it.

Our feed store only carries Purina feed for all livestock wonder if they get some kind of kick back from carring only purina. I can buy Homestead 7way scratch from them but thats it, everything else is purina.

I know at our feed store Purina actually borrowed them the money to build the store so they are not allowed to carry any products from other brands that they could get from Purina.

I have collected feed bag labels since I started raising chickens, and they mostly say the same things. Some people on here love to bash the large companies who manufacture feed, but I have found after using Southern State, Nutrena, Dumor, and Purina, that Purina has the freshest best looking crumbles, and my chickens are very healthy. We don't have organic feed in my area of the Ohio Valley, but I wouldn't spend 2 or 3 times as much to feed my chickens anyway.

What do you all think of CHS Nutrition or specifically Payback brand feed? I have good results with it. It is cheaper than Purina.
