Tragedy related to nutrition?

Well, yes I do. Here's the label. That's the one I use, and I must be dumb cause I can't find corn in there anywhere!!!

And you have no idea what tactfulness is , unfortunately.

Well Seminolewind I didnt mean to offend you. But please tell me what the first ingredient in Purina Layena is. Grain by products? Which grains? The ingredients in Countryside Organics are explicit. Did you notice all those nice probiotics near the end?

Knowing exactly what's in the feed is pretty expensive.

It all depends on what's important to you...

PattyO, I know Purina is being vague about what grain by-products and grains are. Makes me mad if they are hiding corn and soy in there. I wish I had something that is better. I'll have to look around.

I am waiting for a reply from Purina, I emailed them asking about the by-products and grains, and what they really are.

Okay, no Countryside Organic near here. However, I came across a local "buying club" for this product. I emailed them. It's kind of interesting that there's actually a "buying club" for this product.

If you bought Dumor, it's the same as the Purina. On the Purina bag, there's usually a date somewhere in big black letters. See it it's fresh or not.

They are a great company with great products. When we switched from grower to layer, our chickens were not eating the peas. (the layer has a bigger piece of pea) It drove me nuts to see all those expensive peas on the ground. I wrote them and they replied very quickly that sometimes hens don't eat the peas and that they were investigating a pellet instead of the loose meal. A couple of weeks later, our hens started laying, and now there is not a pea to be found. In fact, they usually get them first.

I continue to be amazed at how the birds will eat what they need to eat. (Why can't I???
