Tragedy related to nutrition?

We let ours out for an hour or so in the late afternoon for fresh greens and left over garden stuff - there is still some spinach and lettuce trying to grow in this freezing weather.

I wish mine had access to a green veggie garden!

I don't have a green veggie garden, So I buy romaine lettuce cabbage beets and their tops when on sale at the grocery store to give them something fresh during the winter. today they had left over 15 bean soup fermented oats and yogurt with green peas. I am really having a hard time with this new feed since it's so dusty. But I watched them eat it today and they seemed to eat it okay.

This dusty stuff worries me. Got a pick up on the 20th. Maybe its the supplement they put in it? Fertrell Poultry Nutri-Balancer Why dont you give them a call.

I doubt it would help, and your right I forgot about the Fertrell Poultry Nutri- Balancer thats most likely what it is. One of my hens acted like she was choking for a sec but shook her head real good and all was okay. I am just use to pellets no dust hardley at all but they really weren't eating it, so we'll just have to see with the countryside. I was going to buy just the Nutri- Balancer one time to add to the feed I was feeding at the time and it is very fine powder.

I started with the Countryside Organic starter so I, and the chicks, have never known any different.

She does have some nice FLAT land, not straight up like ours lol. as for the dust I probably added to it by putting some DE in there too. Forgot about that, I have always added DE to my feed. but it was dusty before I added the DE. They [the chickens ] are eating it fine so It will be okay, If you have read other topics from Revolution you will know he talked about dust in the feed so I am a little paranoid about it is all.

Well we got the new feed today and the birds really seem to like it! Dug under their treats to get to it first. I am mixing it three quarters Purina to one quarter good stuff and gradually build up to 100% Still have almost a full bag of Purina.

With the Countryside Organics I am seeing that they are leaving the stuff that looks like grass seed, Mine don't seem to be liking it as well as i had hoped. I still have a bag of Purina FR that I haven't even opened yet so I'm going to go ahead and mix it all together and decide after it's all gone whether it's worth the money to buy the organic. Glad yours like it.
